Whats up in the land of YOU ?

Tomorow night's study will be at Its A Grind in Cypress.  We were there last week but we are gonna hit it again this week.  We will be in Revelation.  It will be at the normal time of 6:30 in the PM.

Also, I am trying to plan an activity night so think it over for something you might wanna do as a group.

Today we are at Bolsa for a Beach Day for the Jr. High and High School groups.

Hey there..............it is SUMMER ! But not really for those out in the real world....well, I should correct myself. It is summer but all that means is that it is hot. We have gotten through Romans 7 and Revelation 8. This is some good stuff. I will try to upload some things from the studies. Let me know if you have questions or comments on either of the books.

Hey what up out there?  Long time no post.  Life has been crazy.  But God is good, has always been, and will always be. We will be hitting Romans again this week at Its A Grind in Cypress.       ------At 6:30 in the p.m. of course.  So be there or be there!

  

  By the way, God has been revealing a bunch of stuff to me lately.  I feel like I have been in a state of reflection for a couple weeks .....got a mirror?

   WHAT DO YOU THINK???????

For the last couple of months we have been going over the book of Romans. When I read it in the past, I felt there was so much information to learn from it, but I found it very confusing. Going over it chapter by chapter has clarified so much for me and helped me with my relationship with God a lot.
So far we have gone over the first few chapters. It discusses how the Law was given to the Israelites to show them how to relate to God. Many of the Jews became so consumed with following the Laws that they lost sight of the important thing...the relationship with God. Now the important thing is that Christ saves all those who believe and have faith. Simply being a good person and following laws will not get you to Heaven.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "But the righteous man shall live by faith." Romans 1: 16-17
It is amazing how much we can learn when we open our ears and hearts to hear what God has written down for us to learn from.

Revelation & Romans

Well, a handful of weeks of study of Revelation and Romans has proved to be fruitful and intense.

Both books are awesome and God is revealing a lot to the group. We are diggin deep into the Word and asking God to bring us closer to Him....and He is. We are havin fun and learnin a lot.

We are through Revelation 3 and Romans 3. Each book and chapter is great. God is Great!

Revelation Revealed

Hey, wuts up out there?

Well this last Thursday Night we had a great study. Long, but great. Marty started the new study on Revelation and hooked it up! This is my first study on Revelation. I have read it before but always been a little confused by it. Marty has done some extensive research and the book is now being revealed to me and the rest of the group.

We went over chapter 1 and there is so much in that one chapter, its amazing. God is Awesome and He has given us some interesting insight in the book of Revelation....I can't wait for the rest.

If you have any questions or info on Revelation that you want to shout go ahead.

Prayer requests:

Joey-> One of his friends has died, and another in in ICU and in bad condition. Pray for them and their families, along with Joey.

Heidi-> Had surgery to remove a tumor on her femur, a large tumor...had to have half of the femur removed and a complete hip replacement. Doctors think they got it all. Please pray for her healing and her family..a husband and two kids.

Wendy ->Her mom passed away recently, I do not know the details but keep her and her family in our prayers.

Nancy-> Has to have gallbladder surgery soon. Please pray for her health and peace, along with the doctors.

Russ -> Clive's dad, still in the hospital, kinda comatose, his brain has basically stopped working and the doctors, many of them are stumped. Please pray for Russ, Clive and the family.

What is up Peeps??

Last Thursday went cool. We were at our house by the fire and we had a good time. Marty did some good research and we had a good discussion. I have been sick since that morning. The flu has kicked me hard. But I am getting better.

This Thursday we are at Starbucks...the usual one...at the usual time....7 in the p.m. It will be good to see you all there. Continue to keep Dave and Joni in your prayers as well as the health of a bunch of people, I know Joey was sick, Marty too, me too, my family too, and others(God knows them all).

Hope everyone is healthy now and hope to see you all on Thursday night. Call me if you have questions. :o)
